Adobe has changed its strategy on Software Asset Management towards a more cloud based management solution.

  • The Acrobat products are now called "Document Cloud" (including eSign)
  • The Creative suite products are now called "Creative Cloud"
  • Serials are no longer available in new contracts and need to be replaced by using named users, managed via the Adobe Dashboard (Adobe ID, Enterprise ID or Federated ID)


The Adobe Dashboard allows you to manage your licenses directly without the need of an inventory tool like Snow, LANDESK, Flexera etc..

If you want to use the traditional software inventory management solutions, then you have to make sure that your tool does support the use of ISO Software Tags.
